Roger is from Stockport near Manchester and read Computer Science at Cambridge University before becoming a software developer. He worked on a predecessor of modern mobile devices, the 'Parc Tab', while at Xerox EuroPARC and then moved into government research on projects such as fingerprint recognition and military sonar systems with Logica.

In the mid 90's he moved to the City, working as a software developer in equity derivatives for companies including Bankers Trust, Credit Suisse Financial Products and Long-Term Capital Management. He subsequently became an Associate Partner at City management consultants m.a.partners.

Keen to become involved in the fast-evolving field of Agile methods, he left m.a.partners to join an embryonic UK office of the US software consultancy ThoughtWorks. Over five years, with roles in both sales and project delivery and as part of the local management team, he was instrumental in growing the practice to over 100 consultants. He developed the company's global marketing position and was the innovation lead for the UK business.

In February 2008 he left ThoughtWorks to bring 7N to the UK market as Managing Director. He lives in Cheshire with his wife Esmé and three children Max, Laurie and Freya.

Pierson has been involved in IT for 25 years and in that time, has undertaken every aspect of consulting management. From sales and business development, heading up professional services organisations through to client/account management and pure consulting with some of the best known names in the software industry, he has an holistic view of developing and delivering business benefit, whether it has been using commercial, off-the-shelf packages or bespoke customised solutions.

This background in the real world of consultancy has enabled him to acquire the skills necessary to represent and interact with both clients and contractors. Pierson understands business requirements at the enterprise and human levels, acting to co-ordinate available and upcoming skillsets with clients' requirements by appreciating project ambitions and goals. Playing a pivotal role in the creation of 7N UK, he is now applying his knowledge and experience to fundamentally change the way the contract market operates.

He is a keen squash player, a frustrated, never-quite-made-it amateur racing driver and enthusiastic member of the Lotus 7 Club of Great Britain. Pierson is married to Teresa and they live in Suffolk.

Katharine started her professional life in London working as a Diagnostic Radiographer for the NHS. Much of the work she was involved with during this time had a strong base in IT, requiring her to gain skills in areas including UNIX and database design.

Katharine then went on to study for a Masters Degree in Medical Informatics at City University, exploring how medicine could be supported by IT to improve outcomes and assist in providing more effective healthcare at the point of delivery. Completing her degree with distinction, she gained a role in management at the Royal Brompton Hospital in Chelsea implementing, managing and supporting a Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS).

During this period she also supported her husband Jonathan in his independent City eCommerce business, Evolution Consulting PLC, her responsibilities including staff recruitment and issue resolution in the IT consulting environment.

Katharine started work with 7N UK in March 2008 as Consultant Care. She lives in Cheshire with her two children. Sadly her husband passed away in July 2007 but she still manages to keep herself very busy playing tennis, running, diving and organising social events as often as possible.
